Born and raised in England, Barry began his photography career at Southend Art College and went onto study at the London College of Fashion. While studying he was commissioned to shoot for Selfridges flagship Oxford Street store which launched his career. During his early career Barry assisted noted photographer Clive Arrowsmith working on many exclusive fashion, advertising and personality shoots across the world. In 2005 Barry stopped assisting to concentrate on developing his own career and forge his own place as a sought after photographer in the industry.

He has worked on a variety of advertising campaigns for menswear, hair & beauty products, bridal fashion. Barry's photography regualry receives accolades in many hair competitions with finalists and winners in the British Hair Awards, AIPP, Black Beauty Awards, L'Oreal Colour Trophy, Mizani Afro Catwalk Award, Alternative Hair Awards, Saks, and Wella Trend Vision competitions.
